King Painting, Inc., Recognized For Construction Excellence By ABC
King Painting, Inc., a North Andover-based contractor, has been recognized for the work they completed on a project that recently received the Grand Honor Construction Award for construction excellence from the Massachusetts Chapter of Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC), the association has announced.
King’s participation was on Erland Construction Inc.’s $15 million project at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) New England Regional Laboratory in Chelmsford, MA. The EPA project received the Grand Honor Award in the Commercial/Institutional/Industrial- Over $5M category.
“The work of King Painting represents the extraordinary teamwork that goes into projects that are deemed the best of the best,” said Massachusetts ABC President Jim Rudolph. “Work of their caliber is helping to raise the standards of excellence throughout the construction industry,” said Rudolph.
The award winners were determined by an independent panel of expert judges based on execution of design, craftsmanship, attention to detail, safety and other considerations. A ceremony to recognize the winners took place on Thursday, November 8, 2001 at the Long Wharf Marriott Hotel in Boston, MA.
“The overall high level of quality and craftsmanship demonstrated by every single project team speaks volumes as to the level of talent and skill that exists among merit shop contractors, says Cahal Stephens of Einhorn, Yaffee, Prescott, one of the judges for the awards. “This process has made each and every judge fully aware of the capabilities of Associated Builders and Contractors member companies.”
